Re-key Locks in Mississauga and the GTA
Re-keying changes the internal pin or cylinder configuration so an existing lock works with a new key. It is often faster and more cost-effective than replacing sound hardware when keys are lost, copied or no longer controlled.
When to re-key
- Move-in, move-out or tenant turnover
- Employee, contractor or caregiver access has changed
- Keys are lost, stolen, copied or unaccounted for
- You want several locks to work on one key
- You need a restricted or controlled key plan
- You want to keep a preferred deadbolt, knob, grip set or mortise lock
Hardware we can re-key or evaluate
We work with compatible deadbolts, doorknobs, lever sets, grip sets, mortise cylinders, euro-profile cylinders, commercial cylinders and selected three-point or multipoint systems. Some high-security, smart or restricted-key systems require a specific manufacturer procedure; we explain the available option before work begins.
Keyed-alike and master-key options
Depending on the hardware, we can plan keyed-alike sets, separate keys for different doors, or a compatible master-key arrangement for selected residential and commercial applications. We verify the existing keyway, cylinder format and security requirements before proceeding.
